Algebra Lesson 1.6: Testing a Possible Solution to an Equation
Practice Exercises:
Determine if the given value of \(x\) is a solution to the equation:
1. \(4x+2=14\);
\(x=3\)
2. \(2(x+4)=x+6\);
\(x=1\)
3. \(\frac{1}{3}(x-6)+4 = \frac{3}{2}x + 2\);
\(x=0\)
4. \(x-2 = 11-8x\);
\(x = -2\)
